SafePal and 1inch to Give Away Hardware Wallets to Boost DeFi Security

SafePal, a leading crypto wallet provider, has partnered with decentralized exchange aggregator 1inch to launch a special hardware wallet giveaway for active users in the decentralized finance (DeFi) space. The aim of this giveaway is to reward dedicated DeFi users while avoiding the common issues associated with traditional token airdrops.
The program will see 300 limited-edition hardware wallets being distributed to participants who utilize 1inch within SafePal’s mobile wallet swap aggregator. Unlike typical airdrops that are often manipulated by bots and opportunistic users, this initiative is focused on engaging users who prioritize self-custody and security.
Veronica Wong, CEO of SafePal, highlighted the drawbacks of token airdrops and emphasized the importance of targeting DeFi-native users who prioritize security practices. This move comes at a time when decentralized exchanges are gaining popularity, capturing 30% of global crypto spot trading volume in June.
SafePal is committed to enhancing its product offerings by upgrading the security features of its hardware wallets, expanding blockchain integrations, and introducing new products like SafePal Mini and a revamped yield aggregator with staking support for networks like Solana.
For 1inch, the partnership serves as a reminder of the significance of self-custody in an industry that continues to grapple with centralized exchange failures. Sergej Kunz, co-founder of 1inch, highlighted the importance of user-owned asset management as DeFi continues to scale.
